​​Bene’t Coldstream is delighted to be appointed as the new Musical Director of EBCC. Bene’t read music at Keele University (a long time ago) and afterwards combined a city career in reinsurance with a singing career as both an oratorio and recital tenor soloist and chorister. He has sung with some of highest regarded London choirs including Westminster Abbey, Westminster Cathedral, St. Margaret’s Westminster, and St Bride’s, Fleet Street. As a conductor he conducted a vocal ensemble at university, then after a gap in time he became MD of St Mary’s, Ashwell in 2019 as well as St Mary’s Voices since 2014.

 

Bene’t lives in Ashwell, North Herts with his wife Elizabeth and has three grown-up children and two dogs. Apart from choral music he loves cricket, golf, cooking and even a spot of gardening (now he’s retired).
